TalentCorp publicised their internship programme through Malaysian Societies in the UK. I came across the advertisements, submitted my CV and proceeded with a virtual interview.
What were you looking to gain from the internship experience?
I wanted to gain working experience during the summer and widen my perspectives by venturing out of the Bioscience industry
What did you enjoy the most about your internship?
The people I met throughout my time there and the connections that I made with my colleagues were very valuable.
What did you enjoy the least about your internship?
I felt like I could have been assigned to more challenging tasks

Mostly independent work with occasional meetings
What tasks were assigned to you during your internship?
I was part of the Graduate and Emerging Talent (GET) team. The interns were assigned to plan an annual career event called Semester Break Programme. We were in charged of coordinating the planning of the two-day event.
How did the experience benefit your career in the future?
This internship helped me become more prepared for the working environment

Apply to as many companies as possible and aim high. Don't underestimate your capabilities.
